Code Minifier & Beautifier Instructions

Introduction

Minify and beautify HTML, CSS and JavaScript code, with real-time compression ratio display to help optimize page load performance.

How to Use

  • Choose code type: HTML, CSS or JavaScript

  • Paste the code into the input box

  • Click "Minify" to compress to minimum size, or "Beautify" to format into readable layout

  • Check the compression ratio and click "Copy" to copy the result

  • Notes

  • Minified code is not readable, keep a backup of the original code

  • All processing happens locally in your browser; code is never uploaded
  • ❓ FAQ

Can I restore the original code after minifying?

Minification removes all unnecessary whitespace and line breaks, so the original format cannot be fully restored. Keep a backup.

Is my code uploaded to a server?

No. All minification and beautification run locally in your browser; your code is never uploaded.

    Which languages are supported?

HTML, CSS and JavaScript, the three mainstream front-end languages.

The Difference Between JS Formatting/Minification and Manual Code Cleanup: Which Is More Suitable

The difference between JS formatting/compression and manual cleanup comes down to automation versus human judgment. Formatting and compression are handled in bulk by tools according to rules—fast and consistent; manual cleanup is more flexible, suited to scenarios with special naming conventions or complex logic. For everyday development and debugging, use tools first and save human effort for the parts that truly need judgment. Understanding what JS formatting and compression means helps you decide when to use it and when to stop.
